Course Notes - Introduction

This course is to teach you the basics of AIM to help in communication with other EH members who use AIM. AIM is a very nifty program, though at times it can be a little sketchy since the AOL servers it runs from can crash for no reason.

What is AIM?

AIM stands for AOL Instant Messenger. The program can be found at http://www.aim.com/index.adp and is currently supporting the Windows, Mac, Linux, Palm, and CE operating systems. AIM allows the users to communicate using realtime instant messages (IMs) with other AIM users as well as AOL and CompuServe members.

Installing AIM

To install simply run the executable file once you download the program. Simple.
