.lst files
In order to get your mission to function in XvTED, you're going to have to make a .lst file. There are two ways, the first is via XvTED, the second is to find a .lst file from another battle or even your train folder in your XvT directory.
Open the .lst with notepad. Here is the .lst for XvT TC 55, prison duties:
//
[Prison Duties]
//
0
pd1.tie
Welcome to the Prison!!
1
pd2.tie
Departure
2
pd3.tie
New Prisoners
3
pd4.tie
Execution
4
pd5.tie
Commendation
//
So, as you can see, the file name (.tie file) goes underneath the first number, then you write the mission's title right underneath. Then you write another number, then the next file name, then its title...etc. After all your files and missions are listed, a "//" double forward stash is required to finish it. You put this right after the last mission's title. Remember to always start with 0, and not 1.
Teams
You can have preset teams in XvTED, in order to set this up you will go on the last of the main flaps that is entitled teams, the following should appear.
Team Name (*1): This is where you write the team name, by default it is "Team 1: Imperial". You may change it to "EH" or "EH-TAC" for instance, depending on the group that is flying. It can even be a subgroup.
IFF For Autolink (*2): This gives a very good option to be able to select which IFF will be associated with the team automatically. So that when you set the team for the FG, you can have its IFF set to red automatically.
End of Mission Messages (*3): These are messages that appear at the end of the mission for failure, success or secondary success.
Allied Teams (*4): Clicking on a team name or number will hihglight it in blue, this team is now allied with team one.
Changing Teams (*5): Of course you're not here to change only team one, to switch forward and back between teams click on these blue arrows.
It is always a good idea to do the "Teams" flap at the begining if you plan on using it.
